“Gypsy” is the second single from Fleetwood Mac’s 13th studio album Mirage.
Russell Mulcahy directed the promotional music video. According Mulcahy, “[the filming] shut down Hollywood Boulevard at night, and brought a giant crane (for the camera). It was like a movie production, with Stevie Nicks dancing down the street” (Variety, 2015). The Great Depression, a Casablanca-esque nightclub, and an enchanted forest served as some of the video’s visual inspiration.
